How does one even begin to comprehend a calamity of this magnitude?

Bring a Smile Foundation has been relentless in sponsoring food for migrant labourers / families since the lockdown period in India (March 25, 2020).

Because YOU have helped monetarily and spread the word on us through virtual updates / shares, we have distributed nearly 1000 masks and sponsored food worth Rs 1,40,000 (across Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Ranchi) since we started. Thank you to all our supporters and donors.

What if you had 500+ items to give away but you realise that you are short on hands that can help?

Two Bring a Smile members in Bangalore were caught between a rock and a hard place when after sorting out more than 500 items (clothes, toys, footwear etc.) other members couldn’t make it for the actual distribution in a slum in Gandhinagar (near Majestic bus stand, Bangalore).

What did they do? They put their heads down, dug their heels in and finished the job. Take a look at the pics to see the lives they touched on 6 October, 2019.

On the occasion of Dusshera, Team Bring a Smile urges you to burn the quality of procrastination and fan the flames of action.

What does it take to support 50 underprivileged / orphan kids education fee from different schools, for 1 year?

Apart from donors’ generosity, it’s tireless work by 10s of working professionals behind the scenes who ensure that the donation amount goes directly into the respective school’s account and the loop is closed on all fronts.

Bring a Smile Foundation sponsored 50 kids in June-July, 2019, because YOU made it possible. Thank you for supporting those kids through us.

Take a look at the smiles in some of the photos and see if it filled you with a little warmth. It did for us.

There’s an NGO in Tamil Nadu called Anbagham that runs 3 destitute homes. One of them is in a place called Vichoor near Chennai. Bring a Smile sponsored 100 blankets for the mentally unstable people there.

One of the pics below moved us. But what needs to be remembered is that we were able to ‘act’ to help keep these people a little warm in the winter of 2018.

As part of CHIREC’s Joy of Giving Week, between 1 – 6 October, 2018, more than 500 students are being encouraged to donate used but not damaged items of daily use (clothes, toys, footwear, utensils etc.)

If you have a CHIREC school connection – Student / Parent / Alumnus / Teacher / Employee, please circulate the below / tag people you know.

The items collected will be distributed to many underprivileged kids and adults who can do with help.

Go ahead, encourage students to give. Let’s help create an empathetic and compassionate generation!

Coming up – 140 pairs of school shoes too for all those kids from the Government school, Mudfort, Secunderabad!

140 brand new school bags being lined up for distribution!

From L & T Serene County to LB Nagar. From Gachibowli to Jubilee Hills. From Kokapet and Kondapur to Kukatpally. Hyderabad gave away 8500+ smiles.

Nearly 15 wonderful people / volunteers stepped forward to play conduit and collected 8500+ basic necessities (clothes, toys, footwear, books, etc.) on 3 February, 2018.

Hundreds of generous people in Hyderabad came forward and contributed used but reusable items for charity.

Bring a Smile sent most of the items to Goonj Hyderabad where they will be issued to rural folks in lieu of the village folk building roads, wells, toilets etc. to benefit their respective villages.

Kudos to the nearly 20 member strong team from Bring a Smile that ensured collection, loading, storage and then transport of these items. Shout out to WashApp, a partner who helped ferry the items. To Surabhi Bansal for her idea to involve more communities in Hyderabad

We are delighted to announce that in November 2017, when Bring a Smile distributed 1200 blankets to the underprivileged, in a first, 350 blankets were sent to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kerala for distribution.

Volunteers like Vivek Merani, Nikhil Jadhav, Arvind Bhateja, Poornima Kuttaiah, Naifa Faiz and their friends went out of their way on some nights, to spread some warmth.

Thank you all of you for letting 100s of homeless people sleep a bit more comfortably in the chilly winter of 2017!

Mythry orphanage in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, with over 60 orphans needed infrastructural help. Their partly constructed staircases had metallic rods jutting out, posing a serious threat of injury to the kids, who used them everyday to go to their single room on the first floor.
