Donatekart

When Anil Kumar Reddy (Founder, Donatekart) approached Bring a Smile Foundation in July, 2020 with a video campaign, we were happy to take it forward because we realised that an initiative to distribute food kits would help many, affected by the pandemic.

A video on us received more than 15,000 views (pan-India) with the result that 865 food kits (worth Rs. 5,19,000 or USD 7000) were sponsored up until September, 2020!

The distribution of the kits on the ground was made possible with the collaboration of some relentless warriors. Thank you:

  • Shrisha Shetty and team from Donatekart
  • Mr. C Chandrashekhar and team (for Mulugu District – call out to the District Collector, Mr. Krishna Aditya)
  • Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli and team (including the NGO Pure, for the transgender community)
  • Vijender Mogli [for Bhadradri Kothagudem District, from Team Indigenous Development Organisation (IDO)]
  • Prakash Dheervani (Team Robin Hood Army)

“Cliched as it may sound, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you – people who care and who stepped up to donate for this cause.”

Here’s the breakup of the kit distribution:

  1. Tribal people in a district called Mulugu, in Telangana (365 kits)
  2. For the transgender community in Hyderabad, India (100 kits)
  3. For the tribal people in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana (100 kits)
  4. For the families of Telangana Make-up Artists association (100 kits)
  5. For a distribution in Secunderabad (200 kits)

A Team is only as good as it’s people. Bring a Smile Foundation would like to express it’s gratitude to all those who have helped behind the scenes in this endeavour.

Thank you for making this Bring a Smile-Donatekart campaign a success!
